These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and EssayHumanizer.ai Ltd. ("EssayHumanizer.ai," "we," "us," "our") governing your access to and use of the website at essayhumanizer.ai and all related tools, APIs, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 in the EEA) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this minimum age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

EssayHumanizer.ai provides AI-powered text transformation tools, including an AI text humanizer, essay writing assistance, paraphrasing, grammar checking, summarization, and related academic writing utilities ("Tools"). The Service is designed to assist writers in improving the readability, fluency, and naturalness of their text. EssayHumanizer.ai is a writing assistance tool — comparable in nature to grammar checkers, style guides, or tutoring services. Use of the Service does not transfer authorship or academic ownership of content.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to create, distribute, or submit content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, obscene, or otherwise unlawful;
  • Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation, including copyright law, privacy law, or consumer protection law;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, or to any system or network connected to the Service;
  • Use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or crawlers to access the Service in excess of our published rate limits, unless explicitly authorized under an API plan;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or third-party data contained therein;
  • Use the Service to generate spam, phishing content, disinformation, or malware;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any component of the Service;
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service without explicit written authorization from us.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service, without notice or liability, for any violation of this Acceptable Use Policy.

4. Academic Integrity

EssayHumanizer.ai is a writing assistance tool. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with the academic integrity policy, honor code, or similar regulations of your educational institution, employer, or any other organization to which you submit content. We do not endorse academic dishonesty. Many institutions permit the use of AI writing assistance tools; others restrict or prohibit it. You must independently verify your institution's policy before using the Service for academic submissions. We accept no liability for academic or professional consequences resulting from your use of the Service.

5. Accounts and Registration

You may use certain features of the Service without creating an account. For features requiring registration, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep this information updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at hello@essayhumanizer.ai if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.

6. Subscriptions and Billing

Free tier: The free tier is provided without charge and is subject to usage limits described on our Pricing page. We reserve the right to modify free tier limits at any time.

Paid subscriptions: Paid plans (Scholar, Scholar Pro) are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the payment method on file for the subscription fee at the start of each billing period.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for unused portions of a paid billing period, except as required by applicable law or under our 30-day money-back guarantee.

Money-back guarantee: If you are dissatisfied with a paid plan within 30 days of your first subscription payment, contact us at hello@essayhumanizer.ai and we will issue a full refund, no questions asked. This guarantee applies to first-time subscribers only.

Price changes: We reserve the right to modify subscription prices. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect for existing subscribers.

7. Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain all ownership rights in the text you submit to the Service and in the output you receive. By submitting text to the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to process that text for the sole purpose of delivering the Service to you. This license terminates when your session ends. We do not claim ownership of your content.

Our property: The Service, including all underlying software, algorithms, models (including Lumina 1.0), interfaces, design, trademarks, and content produced by us, is owned by EssayHumanizer.ai Ltd. and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without our explicit written consent.

Feedback: If you submit feedback, suggestions, or feature requests, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use and incorporate that feedback into the Service without obligation to you.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) THE SERVICE WILL FUNCTION UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; (B) HUMANIZED OUTPUT WILL BYPASS ANY PARTICULAR AI DETECTOR OR ACHIEVE ANY SPECIFIC SCORE; (C) THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS; OR (D) ANY ERRORS IN THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED. AI DETECTION TECHNOLOGIES EVOLVE RAPIDLY, AND BYPASS RATES MAY VARY.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ESSAYHUMANIZER.AI LTD., ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, ACADEMIC STANDING, EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THEORY OF LIABILITY AND WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS UNDER THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM; OR (B) $50 USD.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless EssayHumanizer.ai Ltd. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of or inability to use the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right; or (d) any content you submit, post, or transmit through the Service.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved after 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), conducted in English. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EEA, you retain the right to bring claims before the courts of your country of residence.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by: (a) posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date; and (b) sending an email notification to registered users at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must discontinue using the Service.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service, with or without cause, with or without notice, at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. Sections 7 (Intellectual Property), 8 (Disclaimers), 9 (Limitation of Liability), 10 (Indemnification), and 11 (Governing Law) survive termination.

14. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and EssayHumanizer.ai with respect to the Service, and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
